Caribbean Poker Codes and Hints

Web poker has become globally famous as of late, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. The games popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit farther than its TV ratings. Over the years many variations on the original poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is one of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to blackjack than long-standing poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank rather than the other players. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is little bluffing or other kinds of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up before the croupier declares "No further wagers." At that instance, both you and the bank and of course every one of the different gamblers are given 5 cards. Once you have looked at your hand and the dealer’s 1st card, you need to in turn make a call bet or bow out. The call bet’s value is on same level to your original wager, indicating that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your ante goes immediately to the casino. After the wager comes the face off. If the house does not have ace/king or greater, your bet is given back, plus a sum on par with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or greater, you succeed if your hand is greater than the dealer’s hand. The house pays out money equal to your wager and fixed odds on your call wager. These expectations are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
