Caribbean Poker Codes and Hints

Web poker has become world celebrated recently, with televised tournaments and celebrity poker game shows. Its popularity, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television scores. Over the years several variants on the earliest poker game have been developed, including a handful of games that are not really poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of the above-mentioned games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is more closely related to vingt-et-un than traditional poker, in that the gamblers wager against the bank instead of each other. The winning hands, are the traditional poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of bamboozlement. In Caribbean stud poker, you are expected to pay up prior to the dealer broadcasting "No further wagers." At that point, both you and the dealer and of course every one of the other players attain five cards. After you have observed your hand and the bank’s initial card, you have to in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call wager’s amount is equal to your original wager, meaning that the stakes will have increased two fold. Giving Up means that your ante goes directly to the dealer. After the bet comes the showdown. If the dealer does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with a sum on par with the initial bet. If the bank does have ace/king or greater, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The house pays money equal to your bet and set expectations on your call bet. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • two to one for two pairs
  • three to one for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • 5-1 for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a four of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • one hundred to one for a royal flush
