Caribbean Poker Protocols and Pointers

Poker has become world acclaimed lately, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its universal appeal, though, arcs back quite a bit further than its television ratings. Over the years several types on the first poker game have been created, including a few games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely related to 21 than old guard poker, in that the players bet against the house instead of the other players. The winning hands, are the long-standing poker hands. There is no concealment or other types of deception. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up prior to the croupier saying "No more wagers." At that moment, both you and the house and of course all of the other players receive 5 cards. After you have looked at your hand and the bank’s initial card, you need to in turn make a call bet or surrender. The call bet’s amount is on same level to your beginning bet, meaning that the risks will have increased two fold. Bowing out means that your wager goes instantaneously to the house. After the bet is the conclusion. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your bet is returned, with an amount in accordance with the ante. If the dealer does have ace/king or better, you succeed if your hand is greater than the bank’s hand. The dealer pays chips even with your bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:

  • Even for a pair or high card
  • 2-1 for 2 pairs
  • 3-1 for 3 of a kind
  • 4-1 for a straight
  • five to one for a flush
  • seven to one for a full house
  • twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
  • 50-1 for a straight flush
  • 100-1 for a royal flush
