Double-hand Poker is a cutting-edge game with old ancestry. Founded on the old Chinese tile game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the east with the wild west in an awesome game for new players.
Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the player versus the croupier, not like most other poker games that gamblers play with other gamblers. By wagering against the dealer, beginner players do not have to worry about other, more experienced gamblers winning their money.
An additional Pai Gow benefit is the generally slow game play, rookies are able to take their time and scheme while not needing to make frenzied choices.
It is also easier to play for a very long time with just a small amount of money since, to not win, both of your hands needs to be lower than both of the houses hands.
Pai Gow uses 53 cards; the familiar 52-card common deck and a single joker. The player is dealt 7 cards faces showing and the casino receives 7 cards face down.
A five card hand and one two card hand must be made from the 7 cards dealt, the five card hand has to be higher than the 2 card hand. To win, a player needs both of his hand totals to be better than the dealer’s.
