Have you noticed the new PokerPro texas hold em poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about 2 weeks ago when I took a short holiday with my wife to the WinStar Casino in Oklahoma.
As I anxiously waited for my turn to be acknowledged at the live tables, I noticed how the other folks at the PokerPro tables interface with one another. It was very interesting to say the least. Because the poker table was controlled by a computer, there had been no clay poker chips to do any chip hints, no cards to shuffle and the real live encounter was stagnant. Maybe I was the only one that recognized this, except I did observe the players on the table had a lifeless high quality to them. The cause of this may be since there was no human interaction with the croupier, the environment was rather dull and the players looked bored to tears. It was nearly as if I was looking at a live variant of a web-based holdem poker room rather than sitting with warm blooded humans. It was a little bizarre and I continued to have flash backs to a show of Star trek and the holodeck broke down.
Since the waiting time for the stay tables was over an hour, I made the decision to observe how the game play was and to understanding this new texas hold’em poker gaming technology. Soon after betting a few hands, I truly felt like I was betting at house. The lack of activity at the table was the primary reason. I like to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those items are possible at these electronic tables.
Another thing I observed was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I bet a good deal of hands on the PokerPro table and discovered that the wager on was a whole lot like a web based texas hold’em poker site. That might have been just a coincidence, but I found it to be extremely odd.
Following betting a couple of rounds with this "unique hold em poker technology", I decided that the PokerPro tables had been not for me. I’m better off wagering texas hold em poker on the internet at house and not travel the distance. If WinStar Betting house had been to acquire rid of the stay poker tables, I think they would loose a lot of gamblers.
