Fix Attention on Annie Duke

[ English ]

Annie Duke mightn’t have captured her first World Series of Poker Bracelet until two thousand and four but Annie is one of the most feared poker players around the ring games at The Bellagio in Vegas. Annie’s long-overdue WSOP win came with success at the "forgotten game" of Omaha Hi-Lo.

While competitors from the "younger generation" of poker run amok following a huge win at the tables, Annie goes home to be "mommy" to her four children. She was born in New Hampshire and grew up in a family of poker players. If you do not believe that, have a look at her sibling, Howard Lederer, in action, who taught her the best method to compete in the game.

However, Annie Duke is not a small fry kind of girl and has won her cut of difficult games, including knocking out Howard along the way on several occasions.

Earning well over 3 million dollars in tournament play, Annie branched out to become a advisor to both UltimateBet.com and Hollywood actor Ben Affleck, who aspired to build up his techniques and become a big player at the poker table.

You may glimpse Annie at the Bellagio, you will catch her on TV and you might even compete with her in a web poker game, but do not count on a simple win. Unless you’re a up and coming master, you’ll not defeat her. However, it would be fun to say you sat at the same table as "The Duke".
