Gus Hansen enjoyed a marvelous year on the WPT where he was the only one to make it to the last poker table in three of the competitions. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on The Game Show Network where he paid $400, 000 to play. You may recall one of the biggest pots in big stakes poker history competing against Daniel Negreanu. He won a massive pot with 4 of a kind against Negreanu’s full house. Gus has earned many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the greatest gamblers around the world. While competing in net poker, a different side of Hansen has appeared. He often competes in the 200/400 No Limit max buy in of Forty Thousand dollars. Hansen generally buys-in for the minimum of $16, 000 and gambles very poorly. He sits there waiting for a decent hand and then pushes all-in. I accept that Gus is an outstanding poker player but certainly not even close to the everyday players at 200/400no limit. Unless he is broke, he has little or no reason to play at the game with the min buy-in.
Buying in for the min takes almost all of the expertise out of deep stack poker. Gus is presumed to be one of the greatest players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy-in for the total amt.. I think tv can alter our perception of the real world at times. The best poker players anywhere in the world might be players you have will not have heard about. Gus can be found playing online poker on Full Tilt. He generally competes in big stakes omaha high and texas holdem. Gus has proven himself as a tournament player. Can he back up his skills in cash games?
